Professional Skills Journal

Write a professional document that contains the following two sections:

  1. For each of the Professional Skills & Leadership criteria1 in the rubrics, describe two relevant situations in the graduation project using the STARR method:

    • Reflection & critical attitude (a.k.a. Reflective)
    • Initiative (a.k.a. Goal-Oriented)
    • Interprofessional conduct (a.k.a. Communicative)

Describe the situation, the task/problem, your actions, and (most importantly) your reflection on it and next steps. Use concrete examples, concrete actions, concrete reflection outcomes.

  2. Describe the personal goals that you set for yourself at the start of the year, your evaluation of your progress and how you plan to improve further / refine the goal / set a different goal. Mention any problems you encountered with your personal goals, for example: “the goal was not clear enough (even when I initially thought it was)”, “it was hard measuring the progress”, “I’m not sure whether the goal was really useful after all”, et cetera.

For reference, add the previous professional skills assignments as appendices to the document. You can also add the personal notes taken during the year as the last appendix, as additional evidence for the quality of your reflection and activities. If you did not take personal notes (or do want to add them), just mention that in the document.
