Empirical research to validate the solution. Does the solution work as expected?

• Empirical study (experiment, case study, expert opinion, simulation, …)
• Questions:
• What are the effects of the solution
• Do those effects satisfy the requirements?
• Validity questions:
• Internal validity: Would this design, correctly implemented in this context, satisfy the requirements?
• Trade-offs: What happens with small variations in the design?
• External validity: What happens in different contexts?
